Reviews said it was noisy. It is. Have it in the washroom in the basement. It doesn't bother anyone. It's much quieter than either the dryer or washing machine. It helps dry the clothes that need to be hung up to dry. Best of all it works perfectly It really brings the humidity down. Its has really been a wet summer i n PA and we end up dumping the water twice a day. We have only had it two months and are very pleased with it's performance

I bought this unit in May after an unusually wet spring. It dried out my basement and I've been running it ever since as the rain has continued . It doesn't excellent job of keeping the humidity at the level selected. highly recommended.

One thing I like about this is the automatic temp control(shuts off when desired temp setting is met)I can't comment on the durability since I owned this unit for 2 months otherwise it works well.would recommend it.

Works hard, excellent intake and vent location

I bought this "last year's" model FAD704DWD and the new model FFAD7033R1 at the same time, curious to see which would perform better. Each seems to do some things better than the other.
Last year's model FAD704DWD positive/negatives worth noting:
Good: The vent position is great -- intake in the front and exhaust out the top. That means you can stick it almost anywhere you have one "opening" for air to flow in. Contrast this with the new model with intake in the rear and exhaust on the side.

The worst thing about this model (and the other) is that the reservoir handle is extremely weak. Mine broke after the first week of use, which caused the reservoir to drop and shatter. Had to get a new one under warranty. Frigidaire advises users to cradle the reservoir from the bottom. I'd advise Frigidaire to make a better handle.

Works great

Has been keeping our basement dry through the humid mid atlantic summer. Easy to use, powerful, and nice size bucket allows it to run for a while before it needs to be emptied. It is a little loud when operating, but not unreasonably so. It is not an issue for us. Would highly recommend.
