effective and quiet!

I've had dehumidifiers in my basement for years. They've always been loud appliances that have emitted a crazy amount of heat. While this unit does produce heat, it's just not as offensive as my other previous units...and wow...it's quiet! The only issue I have had was that in order to use the automatic drain feature, a hose must be connected to a drain that does not cause the hose to have any incline. Had I not had a sump pump in my basement the automatic drain feature would've been useless to me, as my previous dehumidifiers had ejection pumps that would allow for the hose to be on an incline and would drain on their own. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase but if you don't have a drain, be prepared to empty the collection tank daily...at least that was my experience.

Bought in May 15. Paramus, NJ. Does a good job reducing the humidity. Quiet on low speed!
Brings humidity down in 900 sf basement from 55 to 45 in 4 to 5 hours.
Does not stop when desired himidity reached.. Still cycles.

Costs about 10 cents/hour to run. So I shut off each evening at 9pm after running for 5 hours. Drops humitity to 48 or so from 55 to 58. (have separate Radio Shack humidity meter.)
Love the unit, but wish it would shut off when desired humidity is reached.

I have now been using the second unit and like the first it is doing a great job. I will rate it higher if it lasts longer that one year as the other one didn't. Warranty service was great and I am not out any money for the replacement.

Excellent Quality & Performance

I have this unit running in my 2,000 sq. foot basement. Zero problems so far....unit does exactly what it is designed to do. Sucks up moisture at a high rate, settings are straight forward, and it's power efficient.
I've had the unit for approx. 3 months.

REMOVES A LOT OF WATER

The unit works great and is fairly quiet. I only have two issues one is that the blower is at the top instead of the back so I get air in my face every time I use my cellar door and the water ball gets stuck and I have to tap it to make it move so I can see how much water is in the bucket. These are two small issues that do not hinder the operation. Very good product and I hope to get many years of service from it.
