Super Quiet Humidity Sucker

This humidifier is so quiet! I can barely tell when the compressor turns on! It is also very good at drying the air in my basement! I'd recommend this humidifier for anyone!

stop working in 8 months

Bought in Nov, 2014 and stopped working in June, 2015. Due to 1 year warranty, I will be refunded. Waiting for the pay check. Since I don't need to return this dehumidifier, I checked the circuit, there is no output from the relay to the compressor. Not sure whether the replay needs to be replaced or the control unit. The compressor itself works if directly supply power. In addition, it seems the reading of the humidity sensor is not correct. The manufacture should improve the reliability of the control unit.

Not keeping up

We've had this for at least 6 weeks and it has never made it to the 45% humidity that we have it set at. It replaced a unit that was the same size for that area. The previous unit did keep up with no problems (but was recalled, as did the one before that, which was also recalled.) The direction manual for this unit does not match the actual operation. For example, it says it will be in continuous mode out of the box, but there is no such thing. It requests the filter to be cleaned very often (but this is in a [fairly dry] basement--the filter is NOT dirty when I take it out to inspect it.)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello unhappycamper – I’m sorry to hear you’ve been having a challenge with your new dehumidifier. I see you are trying to reach a 45% humidity level. By what you describe, continous mode is the operation of choice. Just to ensure you have all the right components in place, it is recommended that a dehumidifier drain hose or garden hose (1/2" or 12.7 mm or larger) should be fitted to your dehumidifier for this purpose. Please confirm there are no kinks or elevations in the hose. (A nearby drain is necessary to discharge water.)
Also, when selecting the continuous mode, it’s important to lower the relative humidity through 5% increments until the display reads “CO”. If you have already attached a hose and selected “CO”, and it still isn’t reaching your chosen humidity level, here are some things to look out for:
• Is the front grill to your dehumidifier blocked? If your dehumidifier doesn’t have sufficient clearance, it can prevent it from sufficiently extracting humidity from the air.
• Also, check to ensure all windows and doors to the outside are closed so your dehumidifier can perform optimally.
The “Clean Filter” light will display after every 250 hours of use. This is a maintenance routine to sustain the life of your appliance.

Running constantly, working great

Its been the wettest Spring/early summer on record here in northern Illinois, my basement was very damp and I worried about growing mold in wet conditions.
Bought my Frigidaire a couple months ago and it has performed like a champ. Could not get better results. I am very happy, it was money well spent.

panel easy to read and operate

Bought the dehumidifier 3 months ago. Connected an external water pump so that I don't have to empty it 1 or 2 times a day. Works great! I have recommended it to a friend.

Dried out the impossible

We HAD to Purchase two (2) units due to the size and configuration of our basement. However, with that said; this little quite dandy performed amazingly! I love the timer feature- which allow me to either prefigure when I want the unit to turn "on" or " off" I set it according to the times that our municipality designate "off peak" times. This very quite & efficient unit made our damp basement a popular congregating space in our home! It took about 3 weeks, due to the conditions; however, we now go to the basement to cool off and relax when the humidity upstairs become unbearable!

Excellent job at removing moisture from air

however, have had trouble getting dehumidifier to drain automatically. It will fill the holding tank instead of draining. If auto draining feature is important to you, I would not buy this model. If not, then you have a winner.
