Very dependable dehumidifier

I purchased this dehumidifier about two months ago. It is attached to a drain in my terrace apartment.

Handle

I purchased 2 units about nine months ago. After about 6 months of regular use one of the levers, that held the handle on, broke off. Unfortunately, this meant the whole bucket had to be replaced. Fortunately, it was still under warrantee and after contacting the company they shipped a replacement bucket without any hassle. So far I haven't had a problem with the 2nd unit or the replacement bucket handle. However, as a precaution, although I still carry it by the handle, I try to hold the bucket by the bottom, when emptying, rather than by the handle. The only other issue, though minor, is that it rarely cuts off when reaching the humidity level that I set, which I usually set at 50%. Thus, I end up having to turn it off manually.
Living ocean side, they each collect 1-2 buckets full each day. Although, it does have the ability to be connected to a continuous drain, I don't have drain conducive to doing so. FYI: I find it easier and more convenient to empty the buckets into the shower, rather than into the toilet or laundry sink.

It takes water out of the air, and really works well. Didn't even notice a change to the electric bill. It is a bit noisy, but that is to be expected.

1.5 year after first recall and new unit doesn't collect water!!!! Since the one year warranty is complete now I will have to pay full part, labor, shipping.......Don't purchase this unit!!!
