I purchased this unit over a month ago and it has been going ever since. I have to empty it once every 2-3 days but it keep my basement moisture free.

Really Does the Job

I had a problem with water getting into my basement and needed to have something besides fans and a shop vac to help dry it out. This dehumidifier works great. Amazing how much water it was taking out off the air. I had to empty it four times a day (24 hours)> Was really pleased with how easy it was to empty. Turned out my sister has one (Frigidare just likemine but smaller capacity. She likes hers, too.

However, it got very hot, and would actually warm the room 4-5 degrees quickly.
Frigidaire is a good brand, with good customer service. They feel this may be a random case, and are standing behind their product.

Happy with purchase

Been using dehumidifier for several weeks now. Set up in unfinished basement so operational noise is not an issue for us. Old unit (20 years old) was placed in center of basement had to relocate this unit closer to sump pump because extension cords can not be used. "Clean filter" light stays illuminated most almost all of the time even though filter looks like new. Does not affect operation of unit. Plugged it in, set to 50% and is running good. Hope is lasts as long as old unit did.

A real workhorse!

We were getting mildew in our basement and so we bought the dehumidifier. It is connected to a drain and it ran constantly for days. Everything is better now and it takes an occasional break to catch its breath.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good dehumidifier!

I bought this dehumidifier and found it to be really good at controlling my basement humidity level. It does, however, really heat up the area.
