Quiet and works like a charm

I have a very damp basement in my antique home. This unit replaced one that was about 10 years old and runs quieter and less often.

I bought this a month ago and it has been a blessing. My finished basset always smelled during the humid months in summer. The smell's virtually gone since I turned the device on. I did not connect it to a drain right away and was absolutely surprised how much water accumulates in the drainage bucket in short time. That all was in the air???
Can highly recommend this dehumidifier. yes, it is not whisper quiet but it is not loud . More the sound of a fan or so.

We have had trouble with mold in our large garage, and the old one just could not keep up. We set up the automatic system and drained it outside, so we can just forget it's there! And the garage feels so much better, and the mold problem is gone.

We purchased this dehumidifier because it earned a top rating from Consumer Reports. We have had it for a few months now and are quite pleased with its performance so far. It keeps the humidity at the set level as verified by another hygrometer placed nearby. Like most humidifiers, it can be a bit noisy and the unit shakes a bit when it cuts on and off. We can go several weeks without having to empty the large capacity water tank, which makes maintenance easy.

I have a area under my house and keep a dehumidifier running 24/7. Within the past 15 years I have had to replace the dehumidifiers several time. Without a doubt the Frigidaire is the best I have had.
