Great features but.......

This unit has great features. It is quiet and works well. However, the continuous drain feature does not work properly. For every ounce of water that flows through the drain hose a little water is dropped into the receiving bucket. I have to empty the bucket even though I have it hooked up to continuously drain. I contacted Frigidaire and they are sending me a "kit" to remedy this. We will see if it works. Otherwise it is a great unit.

In the past 10 years I have gone through 6 dehumidifiers. All were either replaced under the manufacture warranty or replaced through my credit card which doubles the manufacture warranty. I've only had this unit for 3 months so I can say nothing about longevity. I am right now very happy with this unit. Many of the dehumidifiers that are made today run the fan continuously even when the compressor is not running. The Frigidaire dehumidifier cycles the fan off when dehumidifying is not needed. Periodically, it will cycle the fan to better sense the room humidity level, but it does not run continuously. The only concern I have in longevity. If it fails within 2 years (typical of my experience) I will update this review.

Works as it should

Using this unit in my basement for the last four months, works great ! Really pulls the moisture ot of the air. In my basement I have my electronics for Ham radio and have to keep the moisture at a reasonable level.
I would recommend this to a friend!

After reading other reviews, I bought this dehumidifier for a damp, unfinished basement about 2 months ago. Within 24 hours the whole basement was dry and fresh smelling. I bought a hose to let it drain continuously and it's been working like a charm.
I would recommend this to a friend!
