Good, but very loud

This dehumidifier works terrific. We have it in our finished basement and we dump it twice a day, does great. Only complaint is it's very loud!

Got 2nd one to replace one that failed

I bought one of these a couple of years ago. It worked well and reasonably quietly and then stopped dehumidifying even though the motor still ran. When I looked in Consumer Reports, it still seemed like a good unit so I figured I'd try it again. Frigidaire refunded the purchase price under warranty in a fairly simple process. One thing I don't understand about this and other brands of dehumidifier I've owned is why the dehumidifier still runs when the display says that the humidity is several percentage points below the setpoint (say, 60% versus 65%). I could see having a percent or two of hysteresis, but 5 or 10% seems excessive., and the dehum seems to run more than it needs to.

Bought it 4 months ago, and in my application it runs 90% of the time in my crawlspace. This is my second Frigidaire dehumidifier, the last one ran for 12 years!!

I have used this for 5 or 6 months. Keeps my power equipment from humidity damage. There is no musty smell in the basement. Works better than any other dehumidifier I ever had.
