I noticed the basement smelled damp, and we had a dehumidifier down there, but I didn't know it wasn't working. We have ours drain into the sub pump basin, so I didn't know it wasn't working until I noticed the dampness. This one did the job for us, got rid of the dampness and shut off when it was done. ( follow directions ) at first we didn't have it drain into the basin and we had to empty it as I recall twice a day. It was doing its job and well.

Purchased this over 6 months ago and it has done an excellent job with minimal noise. Collection is very efficient and easy to use control panel. The only disappointment is that the recommendation is to empty the water collection bucket before it is full, the handles edges may not be able to support the full weight. If the bucket is full, I recommend carrying it by its sides to avoid the handle breaking from the weight and possibly shattering the bucket on the floor. 1 star removed due to this actually happening.

I bought this a month ago to replace an older, smaller unit. The older unit (other brand) was extremely loud. This one is much more quiet. Works well with and without a hose hookup. Haven't had any issues with leaking or anything like that.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought it 2 months ago and it has been doing a fine job of keeping the basement dry.
It runs quietly. The bucket is a bit hard to pull out, which must be done to clean the filter.
