I bought this for my basement and it works great. It keeps the humidity down at 30% and prevents any mold from forming. The controls are easy to understand. Great piece of equipment.

Keeps Basement Dry!

I use this in our unfinished concrete block basement. It is around 600 square feet and very damp. My wife has her laundry room down there and also hangs some clothes on lines I installed. Our home is on the low side of a hill and the foundation is usually damp. I keep the humidity set at 60% and it has no problem keeping it constant. It has removed the damp odors and makes the basement much drier. My only complaint is that it turns off/on frequently. The brand I had prior to this would run around 5% below the set value and then turn back on when it reached 5% above the set value. This resulted in much less on/off but more run time. This unit turns off at 5% below setting but then turns back on as soon as it rises to the set value. Seems to work fine but maybe runs a bit more than I like. All in all, it does a good job. I purchased this same unit 3 years ago and after 1 year the unit failed. I purchased another brand that only lasted 4 months before it had a compressor problem. Decided that we have other Frigidaire products so maybe our first was just a bad unit. Giving it another try!

Wish I had bought one sooner! I know it works well because I have to empty the container so often now that spring has come! I seem to have a smidge of trouble getting it set to the right level of moisture but that may be operator error......and no matter, I love having it!!!!

I had new windows installed and they draw moisture due to insulation. I bought the Frigidaire 70 pint Dehumidifier and it cleared up all my windows in the house within a few hours. This product is easy to maintain and takes up very little room. I would recommend it to anyone!
