solved my problem

Having a closed up basement with no ventilation, we had mold from dampness on all items stored in our basement last summer. I spent the fall months cleaning the mold off of luggage and sheves of bookcases and legs of furniture. Bought this frigedaire 70 dehumifier in April and had it running and haven't found any sign of mold or dampness in the basement. And the basement smells great. No dampness smell.

Great machine

Very good machine at removing moisture from the air. The only negatives are the machine puts off a lot of heat and is noisy.

Dependable workhorse

So far, this dehumidifier has been a dependable workhorse. It runs well and consistently fills one bucket full every 24 hours or so. Its easy to operate and empty the bucket. The only change I'd make is to make the filter accessible without removing the bucket. Its not hard to change the filter, but I've seen other models where the filter just slid straight up without having to remove the bucket, which makes it very easy to clean. This unit, you remove the bucket and then have to reach inside and pull the filter down into the cavity where the bucket was. Not as convenient, but not hard either - I certainly wouldn't turn away the dependability of this model for that feature. All in all, I would highly recommend this unit for its dependability and performance.

Really does the job

I purchased this as a replacement for previous model that failed under warranty. By the way the warranty program offered by Frigidaire is one of the best ever. This new unit work greaty, does the job and is very quiet running.

Working well.

We have had this for about three weeks now and it has made a world of difference in our basement. We didn't hook the drain hose up at first, but it was removing so much moisture and we had to empty the bucket several times a day. It runs often, but our basement feels and smells so much better.

I had a 10 year old unit that failed. I really thought it was working great before it quit working. I got this one and it's night and day. This unit pulls out much more water, it's cooler and much less noise. I should have done this years ago.
