I bought this unit at the beginning of May 2016

I set it at 60% humidity. But when I check on it will still be running when it displays 55%, sometimes even 50%. Is there something wrong here ?

Simple to use

Does the job. Drop humidity to 30 - 35% in basement area with 1,500 sq ft.. It gets emptied twice a day. While on vacation I use hose to empty into drain. Filter is a great improvement over older models that would build up dust on coils. Sure they make noise, so does your air conditioner compressor. I have mine in the storage/utility room.

this was a warranty replacement unit , i give a 4 star rating for the sealed system warranty . frigidaire has been great about replacing my faulty units, this will be the 3rd unit replaced by them, all of them had a sealed system failure in two to three years. make sure you keep all paperwork and reciepts

Fan shutting down.

I bought this two months ago. I am disappointed the fan does not cycle on and of with the compressor. Recently I have noticed the fan shutting down for a few seconds and restarting by itself. Wish I could write a more positive review.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for sharing your recent dehumidifier experience with us, Dissapointed in Ohio. Your dehumidifier has an auto-shut off once the desired humidity level is reached. You will continue to hear the fan running so that air can pass over the sensor coils to check the air for humidity levels. Once the levels increase again, and the air is being moved over the coils the dehumidifier will begin again. I hope this helps! Courtney

Fan doesn't stop running but compressor does

I have had this less than two months and the fan has stopped turning off but the compressor does, even when desired humidity level has not been reached. If I turn off and on, sometimes the compressor comes back on, but then stops again later, while the fan runs non-stop. Very frustrated with this as it is new and the third Frigidaire dehumidifier I have had in five years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works well in basement.

Bought this about 8 weeks ago and have been running it in the basement during this rainy spring. It draws out the moisture and I empty the bucket in the garden when possible. The filter feature is also good as I did not have this on a previous model. Overall, very good, but like all of these units it can be a little noisy.
I would recommend this to a friend!
