Excellent performance and affordability

This dehumidifier can handle the needs of a large area. I bought it for use in my finished basement and it works even better than I had hoped for. There is no dampness to the area at all and the air smells fresh and clean ,

Bought this for our very damp basement. Dried it up in about 3 days to 50% humidity. Stays that way too.

I like the unit very much , it works like it should . The smallest complaint that I have is that the humidity only reads in 5 percent increments , versus single increments . That is a small problem to have .

A very effective dehumidifier

During the Summer months our large basement can get quite humid, and we usually keep two small dehumidifiers operating around the clock. After reading an excellent review of the Frigidaire in a well respected consumer magazine, I decided to buy the 70 pint model, which is a bit larger than the 50 pint machines we have usually purchased. It was purchased about five months ago. It is extremely easy to operate, and it does an excellent job of pulling moisture out of the air and maintaining the desired humidity level. If you own or use small dehumidifiers, you probably know that longevity can be a real issue. We have had units that lasted less than a year before the compressor failed, and most of the units we have bought through the years, which number at least a dozen, have not lasted more than two years, and this is with only 4-6 months of annual use. This is the first Frigidaire dehumidifier we have bought, and it has outperformed the other units we've had, all of which were made by reputable manufacturers. The only reason that my review is not a five star review is because we have not had the unit long enough to gauge it's longevity. If it is still operating as well as it currently is in a year or two, then you can push my rating to five stars. As far as its ability to extract moisture from the air, it is a terrific appliance.

Bought this for our townhouse on third floor. It is the most humid part of our townhouse but our new Frigidaire dehumidifier now kepps the humidity level down and were so much more comfortable. Wished we would have bought it years ago.

Best dehumidifier I have owned recently

I have two of these, one is the previous model and is five years old. These are nicely built and work well. in my experience, they last longer than some competitors products.
