Keeps the basement dry

We have owned this for maybe 6 months now. We use it in our good sized basement. (1200sf?) at about 45-50%. We run the drain hose directly to the floor drain, so we never have to empty it. Everything works great.

Reliable and quiet

Great solid unit for my basement. Drain hose feature allows for the condensate to just drop into a floor drain. Humidity control hold the set point. Overall name brand and weight of the dehumidifier sold me and this unit is stylish .

This is our third Frigidaire dehumidifier. Each one has lasted about two years and is used in the basement where it runs almost continuously in the warm months and somewhat less when the weather cools. Be sure to remove and clean the air filter (not hard) to improve efficiency and life. None of the modern units are going to last like the ones from thirty years ago.

Works great and is really quiet. Only problem is removing the cover for the water bucket. Will need to call Frigidaire to get directions on how ro take the cover off to clean the bucket.

What a Difference!

We bought this unit about a month and a half ago, and we LOVE it! We have a quad-level house, and the lower two levels (carpeted family room and cement basement) were constantly having problems with high humidity. With two dogs and the summer heat, our home resembled an old, smelly lake house or fishing cabin. Yuck! This thing sucks every bit of excess moisture out of both levels - including the carpet and furniture in our family room. What a wonderful difference!!!!

What a poor, unglamorous life the dehumidifier leads! But if you have a basement, it is a necessity! When our last one died, I needed a new one right away, and wanted one I could depend on. I chose this one based on good reviews and a name I trust. Thanks, Frigidaire.
