Great support from Frigidaire

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had bought my first dehumidifier, same model, almost 3 years ago. It worked perfectly for most of that time, then started failing with an "EC" error on the LCD. I called Support and was pleasantly surprised that they shipped me an entire new unit. Thank You Frigidaire.

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had no idea it was not equipped with a humidistat to shut the unit on/off automatically, it just constantly runs the fan, timer does not repeat function.

Hi, Bob09! Thank you for taking the time out to share your concerns with us. This model is equipped with a humidistat. The dehumidifier automatically shuts off when the selected amount of moisture has been removed from the air. If you want to remove more moisture, select 'Continuous' by using the humidity button.
The main board/computer board controls shutting the unit off from info gathered from different sensor like the full bucket or the humidity is at the proper level.
It also has the timer function enables you to either Delay Start or Delay Stop the unit in the choice from 0.5 hour to 24 hours. If the unit is running, then selecting Timer will turn the unit off in the hours that will be set (Delay Stop). If the unit is off, then selecting Timer will turn the unit on in the hours that will be set (Delay Start).

Works great but not durable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dehumidfier works great but be sure to buy the extended warranty! Have had several of these over the last 12 years and never had one last more than 3 years. One died in less than a year while the most recent one was at 18 months. Company is great about honoring the warranty with no hassle.

Poor at removing water

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dehumidifier is not near as good as removing water as the one that it replaced. It has run continuously since we received it. It seldom reaches the 40% humidity. It only removes about 6-pints of water in a 24-hour period. If this dehumidifier is rated the best of the best, I'd hate to see the worst of the worst. Highly dissatisfied!!!

It is normal for the dehumidifier to operate longer when recently installed or if the moisture in the room is high. The 70 pint dehumidifier is designed for a slightly or moderately damp space up to 1500 sq ft.
