I brought this unit because it was rated as one of the best in Consumer Report. I am very pleased how quiet it is and how well it keeps my basement dry.

This is a well designed, well made dehumidifier. It is quiet running and it keeps the basement dry in this NE Ohio humidity. We have been through several makes and models through the years and finally "we have a winner"! Great JobFrigidaire!

Not bad, but not quiet!

I've had the Frigidaire for a couple of months. It really suck up the moisture from my 900 sq. ft. basement with ease. It's not as quiet as the last dehumidifier I owned, but that one was recalled. It has the option to attach a hose for draining, but that doesn't seem to be working for me. I empty two buckets a day. I can't determine why the water is no draining via the hose.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hey Bonita Lynn, thrilled to hear you are satisfied with the way your dehumidifier removes the moisture from the basement. When hooking up the hose for continuous drain, may I recommend using plumber’s tape to wrap around the threading and then hook the hose back up. Make sure the water can flow “downhill” (dehumidifiers don’t have a pump, they are gravity drained), and that there is no kinks in the hose. Your garden hose should be 11/16" (17.5 mm) or larger in diameter. Ensure you have checked the garden hose for any debris, tears or holes. BEST dehumidifier ever! I can't believe the difference that it makes. The musty smell in our basement is gone. It outperforms other brands that I have have had in the past. I'm considering buying a second unit for the main living area to help with the summer humidity and take the strain off of the air-conditioner.

Quiet, works quick

Only had this one month, replacing a 5 year old lg unit. The Frigidaire is so much quieter than previous brand. All units have a running noise, but this one was so much quieter I had to check if it was running. It was, and so far is doing the job removing humidity quickly and efficiently.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This 2015 model on clearance is serving the same purpose as the 2016 model. I can feel the results of less humidity in the air everytime I enter the basement.
