Fantastic Dehumidifier!!

We purchased our home last November. We obviously we're learning about our new home and all of its little quirks. Well, my finished basement floor got soaked with rain water about a month ago. We fixed the leak under the stairs that caused the water to run into the basement, but we're really having a hard time on how we could not only dry the carpet, but undo the damage the moisture/water caused. I researched dehumidifiers and based off of reviews and weighing the "pros and cons" so to speak, we chose this Frigidaire model. It was extremely easy to setup and program. I set it on the lowest humidity setting possible (35), and I was actually shocked at how fast the dehumidifier bucket was collecting water and how easy it was to change it. I especially like how it beeps when the bucket is full. My days get a little hectic so it is nice to be reminded when to change the water and filter. I changed it quite a few times over the next few days. (This was understandable given the setting I had chosen.) After 2 days, when I walked into my basement, I noticed the room seemed warmer, the there was no "wetness" in the air, and the musty smell had ceased to exist. The dehumidifier not only removed almost all the moisture that was causing damage, but the carpet was also finally dry. I am so happy with this purchase. It was worth every penny. I recommend this to anyone who has a large finished or unfinished basement. It solved a lot of water damage issues in my house and gave me peace of mind

Best dehumidifier ever!

I bought this after suffering from mold allergies. My AC broke for a while and mold crept in and wow this thing makes a huge difference!! My apartment is now very cool and light and refreshing. I empty the bucket once a day and am amazed at the 17 pints of water it draws from thin air! Incredible and easy to use. I love this thing!

Works amazing!

We bought this after our basement flooded for the third time. This thing sucks all the moisture out of the air so we have not had any mold issues. Also love that there's a humidity level setting for when it's particularly wet outside. We set it and forget it!

No auto shut off

The unit works just fine but I would like to set it to a humidity level and leave it. All I can do is keep turning it on for a specified time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Please see pages 5-6 in the Owner’s Manual for your model for more information on the timer mode. Perhaps the continuous mode would be more suitable for your needs.
