Very Nice Dehumidifier

I have had this for about 2 months and it is working very well. I use it in the garage to keep the humidity under control here in the summer. I bought it thru mail order, so it was delivered y a national delivery company and while the box was a bit banged up on arrival, the dehumidifier was in great shape. This was a replacement for an earlier model Frigidaire dehumidifier that had stopped running after nearly 6 years. This new unit is lighter and smaller and runs quieter than its predecessor. The continuous drain feature works much better with easier hose connection and the internal bucket seems to not be as problematic as the earlier model, a big help. When it has reached the setpoint humidity level, it shuts off and the fan stops. The air discharge is out of the top instead of the side as in the previous model, but not an issue for my use, just different. There is not much difference in the two fans speeds, and as for noise levels, while pretty quiet, I expect you would not want it in a bedroom, even though the noise is pretty much just the sound of the fan air. Very pleased overall and I will very likely be buying another on when it is time to replace the other older model unit I have running in the crawlspace.

I bought this to dehumidify my finished basement and it seems to be working well. It really cleaned up some of the foul odors that I found down there!

We bought this model for our huge basement and it really worked to lower the humidity and make the basement smell fresh! We installed a hose to automatically drain the tank and it worked beautifully. I would recommend this model to my family and friends.

Watch your electric bill sky-rocket!

I bought this Frigidaire dehumidifer prior to the summer season. It was my hope that it would remove humidity from our Central Florida home, and allow our 3 1/2 ton Central Air Conditioner to run less. That much it did, but this unit is an energy hog. The electric bill has increased over $100 per month. It struggles to maintain a comfortable humidity level, if it was not such an consumer of energy I'd get a second one. Over all I'm satisfied with it.
