Easy setup

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's been a few weeks that we have had this unit for a basement. We bought the house in July and were told that the unit there was just a 30pt which would run all day and waste energy. Now thanks to this unit that can do 70pt it feels much better in the basement along with not having the unit be on at all times. It does what it's supposed to do and I am pleased with it. The noise is not a factor for us since it's down in the basement of my split level home and we have a utility sink down there so as far as setting up the hose for it instead of using the tank was a big plus for us. I think if we used the tank option I would be down there every week or so or more often emptying out the tank.

Excellent dehumidifier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While doing a thorough clean-up in my basement, I noticed that some items had been adversely affected by excess humidity. I purchased this dehumidifier after a fairly extensive review of several well known brands and models. The positive results of this purchase were amazing. As recommended, I let it run constantly for the first couple of days until there was a drop off in the amount of water collected. After that I set it for 45 or 50 per cent so it shuts down periodically. My basement is now comfortably dry. One caveat - I purchased this appliance during one of the hottest and most uncomfortable summers we've ever had here in mid-Michigan. Between my central air running almost constantly for a couple of weeks and this dehumidifier doing the same, my electric bill took a hefty jump. I'm not complaining, but it is something you should be aware of.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Quiet,effective and great perfomer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a large basement, the other brand of dehumidifier was not doing the job.Purchased a Frigidaire and within 24 hrs the basement was at the humidity I set on the unit. Very happy with the performance of the Frigidaire.
