Sleek Design & Terrific Performance

Was not sure at first, but now I love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this because the humidity in my house was peaking at 70%. We live in Myrtle Beach, SC so the humidity is always high. So I went on Consumer Reports to find the best dehumidifier available, turns out to be the Frigidaire FAD704DWD. I bought one, about 2 months ago, for a 3,200 sqft house to see how it would hold up. Turns out it does GREAT! We empty the container between 4 and 5 times a day and our house humidity is ranging between 50% to 61%. It's obvious that one machine is not enough for the entire house, but it is a reliable workhorse. I will be buying one or two more of these to get the humidity down to 45%. I am very satisfied with this purchase and feel it is well worth the money.

Surprised !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dehumidifier worked very well for 3 months, but then it became less efficient and could not keep the humidity level at 50%. The humidity kept rising over the next few weeks, so I disconnected the drain hose and capped the outlet port. The bucket remained dry even though the machine was working constantly for days. The humidity level continued to rise to 61% according to a separate gauge I keep in that room. The machine's meter said 60%. I know the dehumidifier was malfunctioning, because it worked wonderfully during the summer when the humidity was very high. Now it cannot remove any moisture even though I lowered the desired level to 40%. I'm glad I bought the extended warrantee because I'd like another Frigidaire which works as well as this one did initially!
I would recommend this to a friend!
