A Must-Have

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dehumidifier several months ago and it has really made a huge difference in the comfort level in the house. I live in a very humid, hot state so the air conditioner runs a lot. With this dehumidifier I have been able to put the thermostat up a little higher which helps on utility bills, but still maintain a comfortable living environment because it removes a lot of the humidity in the air. It's extremely comfortable now and I'll never be without one again. Even though the water it collects is not potable, it can still be used to water the plants outside so that's very useful. This is a very good investment in your comfort.

My second one broke in 3 yrs

My second dehumidifier has broke in the last three years. Both of them have lost the refrigerant charge. I will give credit to Frigidaire and they have reimbursed me for both of them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Everything I expected and more!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very, very happy with this dehumidifier I bought this past July for our basement. Old one from the 1960s (!!) had finally died and really wanted to replace with something that would do as good a job as this old warhorse did. The Frididaire FAD704DWD met our needs perfectly, is quieter than our old appliance & I have to empty it less because of it's wonderful 70 pint water tank. Love all the various settings (hi/lo fan; range of dehumidifying power) and that we can place it against the wall and it's out of the way. Basement is drier than ever -- would definitely buy this one again and recommend to friends

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Working as advertised. I like the feature that shuts down the unit when the humidity has lowered to the setting. I bought a separate humidity gauge and set it at the far side of the unfinished basement. It registers only a little more than the unit itself which indicates that the unit setting is true and that it is lowering the humidity throughout the area.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this for our basement during this past humid summer . Really worked well as it filled up the container in about 4 hours . I then installed a drain hose and routed it to the floor drain and have not had to check it since . Very happy with this unit .
