[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this in a 2000 sq. ft. basement and it has taken the humidity from 75% or greater down to 50%. It is sturdily constructed and has a reusable filter that is very easy to clean.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Failed after one year

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Stopped removing water after a year. However, it did a great job for that year and the shutoff feature when desired humidity reached was nice. Frigidaire bought it back without hassle (hence the three stars).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does a great job while working but fails easily

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the third 70 pt unit I've owned in about 6 years. They seem very sensitive to power surges as power outages seem to be when mine fail. They are too cheap for the local repair shop to repair.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Your dehumidifier must be plugged directly into a properly grounded and polarized three-prong receptacle. If the wall receptacle you intend to use will not accept a three-prong plug. If you are not sure the outlet is adequately grounded or protected by a time delay fuse or circuit breaker, have a qualified electrician install the proper outlet according to the National Electrical Code and applicable local codes and ordinances. Do not use an extension cord or an adapter plug.
