An excellent dehumidifier it is!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is fantastic. I use it in my piano room to keep the humidity at proper levels for the pianos.....this prevents damage to the soundboard and other wooden components......I was a able o have the room at a constant 45 percent humidity all summer, even when the outside humidity was near 100 percent. A neat control panel, large capacity water bin, and just perfect for my needs.

Failure prone

My original Frigidaire 70 Pint Dehumidifier began leaking water onto the floor after about half a year of use. Frigidaire replaced it and the second machine failed in the same way right out of the box. Again Frigidaire replaced the defective unit and the third machine just failed in the same manner (still during the warrantee period). At this point, I'll be requesting a refund and will buy another brand.

Cheaply made

Upon emptying filled bucket the sixthe time, the handle slipped out, bucket fell, broke bottom of bucket, broke clear plastic cover, and float. WILL NOT WORK NOW.

Do not purchase this unit

I have my third unit in two months. None of the three worked as designed. The unit runs continuously and never shuts off. The humidistat in the room shows 40, the unit is set to fifty and keeps running.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works Grrrrreat!!

Bought from an online retailer, shipping was fast and all contents arrived in one piece... Only problem I have had is that the "clean filter" light will not shut off even though the filter is clean/has been cleaned?? Other than that it just runs as it should!!

Does the job, with issues

I bought this two months ago to help reduce humidity in my basement. It's a good thing I'm using it in my basement on unfinished floors and not in my home on my good hardwood. The unit definitely extracts the moisture, but it fails to keep it within the collection bucket and quite a bit of water seems to drip outside of the unit and onto the floor. I advise having some sort of tray underneath if you're using this inside your home.
