Good buy but....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought for my 1100sq ft unfinished basement. It works but I'm glad it's in the basement. It keeps the humidity down, 55%. Constant running, either fan or compressor. One kicks off then right back in within a minute. It hasn't rained in our area in months but the dehumidifier is always running. I heard about recalls, I registered this item soon after purchase and have not been notified that mine is recalled. Others say theirs runs constantly also. I'm just glad it's in the basement where I barely hear it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I initially had some difficulty with the bucket filling up with water instead of draining into the connected hose. It seems to have worked itself out. The instructions do not explain what the purpose of the timer is for.
