Very short service life

The unit was replaced within 6 months by the selling dealer after the unit displayed the error code "EC"
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dehumidifier a few months ago and I love it. It is much more efficient than my last dehumidifier, which ran almost continually. I just set it to my preferred percentage of humidity and it shuts off when it achieves that level. My electricity bill has dropped considerably and the basement smells cleaner and fresher than ever.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Defective Unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unit failed before one year's use. However, Frigidaire did reimburse us for the defective dehumidifier and we bought a different model Frigidaire that seems to be working fine, so far.

Works as it should

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had it since the summer. We had so much moisture in our basement we were getting mold on things. After installing this and running it on continuous for a week the air smelled better and no more mold.

Very effective

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This device works great. We have it running continuously and it consistently keeps the humidity at 45/50 where it is supposed to be. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is bc it's louder than I would like. It's in our main living area so we need to turn it off when we want to watch TV.

Quiet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace an earlier Frigidaire model that had served me very well for a number of years. This one is very effective and much quieter and seems to cycle off more frequently (which is a good thing). I bought it at the very end of the summer, so it was not in service long this season. Looking forward to next summer and to many years of service.
