Very efficient

Bought this the other day to help fight moisture in our basement. It has work exceptionally well so far. We have had it for about 3 weeks but noticed a difference within 48 hours. Easy to operate and seems to be a work horse. We have had it on high since we bought it. Not very loud as compared to other dehumidifiers we have owned but it certainly isn't a "silent operator". Its about what you would expect for this type of equipment. It needs to be emptied about 4 times a day but that is also to be expected; if it actually had a 70 pint tank then it would be almost impossible to empty by hand. A very good machine and definitely recommended.

Just set it and forget it. It's connected to a drain so I set it at 50% humidity and it runs beautiful. I never have to touch it and the basement smells and feels great. Would recommend this 70 pint machine to anyone.

Great dehumidifier

WE purchased this model after our old one quit working. We were amazed at the moisture it took out each day, It's not hooked into a drain so we have to empty it each day and it is full of water. We were beginning to get a musty odor down there and that is completely gone. Love it!

Good but not accurate

I had a frigidaire for several years, when the compressor stopped working. They were great to work with, and refunded my original purchase price. I got this one because of the great experience that I had with them.
While this one works fine, when it is set to 55% humidity! it keeps the room at between 42% and 50%. I read about this in accuracy in consumer reports but the customer service overrides this for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent Performance

The unit is an excellent performer, and fairly quite as well. My only concern is that this unit replaces two other earlier Frigidaire models both which failed under warranty. I'm only hoping this one lasts longer - say 10 years where the other two lasted less than 1 year and then leas than 2 years.
