My Frigidaire 70 pint Dehumidifier works very well keeping my basement at 50. I hope to get many more years of service out of this unit.

Excellent unit

This unit was a replacement for another Frigidaire that was still under warrenty. I called the company, explained the problem, and the company replaced the unit immediately. Great service with no haggling. This unit has been operating flawlesly. I would recommend this unit.

I bought during the summer and followed the instruction for setup. It worked great right out of the box and removed the humidity in my 1100 square foot basement with no problem.

GREAT PURCHASE

In May 2013, I purchased Frigidaire model # FAD704DWD
70 pint capacity dehumidifier. This is absolutely the best
dehumidifier that I have ever owned. Previous purchases of
other brands of dehumidifiers have proven to be noisy,
subject to breakdowns and used considerable amount of electricity.
This Frigidaire model is energy star efficient, quiet, trouble free
and a very good value for the purchase price.

Hoping for the best

Purchased this product over a year ago and ran great for the summer of 2012. When I started it this year (2013) it would run but no water was being drained into the tank.
Called Frigiidaire and they were great in reimbursing me the full amount of what I paid.
Knowing the great ratings of this product, I decided that things do slip past quality control and decided to buy the same product again.
So far it has been running great this summer and I am confident it will start up again next summer and run thru the season.
Than you being up front and taking care of the reimbursement.

Beware of handle

The unitl works welll and it is easy to empty the container. However, I have dropped the container at least three times because of the poor construction of the handle. It completely pulls out of the coupling which is plastic. The basement floor is wet again and defeats the purpose. The container is awkward to carry without the handle and splashes as you carry it. We are dealing with it. We cannot hook it up to a hose because there is no drain.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are very happy with our purchase of the Frigidaire 70 pint dehumidifier. It is extremely quiet, and did a great job all summer long. It was easy tg empty the tray, as well as replace it. back. The unit is nice and slim and fits well in the area we have it. It kept our basement smelling fresh and clean. It was amazing how much water it takes out of the air in a short time.
It does it's job well, sums it up. I hope it will keep working as nicely for a long time to come.

runs too hot!

The dehumidifier works well in terms of reducing humidity, however it throws off so much heat, I'm reluctant to use it in the summer!
