Another dehumidifier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchase a dehumidifier every 2-3 years, running it to keep my basement dry 7 months of the year. Companies that manufacture refrigerators and air conditioners should be able to manufacture a dehumidifier that lasts more than three years.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Yikes! Safetyman, I hate to hear you are replacing your dehumidifiers every 2-3 years. That has to be a frustrating experience. The last page of your Owner’s Manual has your warranty information. Most of our dehumidifiers have a limited one-year warranty and a limited 2-5 year warranty on the sealed system. Very efficient but loud.

The dehumidifier efficiently keeps the humidity at 45% on 90% humid days but I can hear the compressor even though it is in the basement and I'm on the floor above.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hysteresis of on/off points very close

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the product. It maintains to humidity levels very well. It is quiet. Although the unit will shut off when the set point is reached, it only stays off for maybe 30 second to a minute at max before it comes back on. I do not know if this is adjustable.

Has Worked Great So Far

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our prior dehumidifier was part of a big recall, so we were unexpectedly back into the market. After carefully reviewing the analysis and recommendations on dehumidifiers by a major - and very reputable - consumer publication we opted to go with this particular unit. While only using it intermittently for a bit over a month, we are quite satisfied with how it has performed. One attribute we are extremely happy about is its quietness. Since it is located in the basement right below our master bedroom noise was a huge concern. Our prior unit was loud enough we had a timer that actually had it turned off during the time we were in bed starting to go to sleep. No such need for this unit! We have held our rating to Good (4 stars) vs. Excellent as we will find out more about its performance over the summer months. Dew points have been around 70º at times the past few days, so the unit is getting tested.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Chose this model over the Frigidaire FFAD7033R1 due to design. External hose hookup on this model is on the side. On the newer model, it's in the back. It works well but doesn't seem to lower humidity as quickly as my old model FDL70S1. Unfortunately, that one was the subject of a recall so I had no choice but to replace it.

So gave I bought this one. Looked at other ones but, as they say... you get what you pay for. This is worth every penny so far.
