[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old model of this quit working after 9 years of constant use in my basement. I hope this unit lasts as long. the only negative difference is that this newer model does put out a considerable amount of heat when the compressor is running. Ok for my basement though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought two months ago and high fan and low fan sound the same. Very slow to lower humidity in a sealed basement. Totally unimpressed. Hope it lasts three years. Bought extended warranty based on other dehumidifies that have failed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought my first one last fall and a second one this Spring. Togeather they easily handle my whole finished downstairs which is below grade and prone to mustiness without them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dehumidifier a couple months ago and I am very pleased with its performance. This summer has bee very humid and we have had a ton of rain. This dehumidifier has kept my basement right at 50 %. Love it

So far great dehumidifier. Have drain line hooked up so no problem with having to empty. It's in my basement and when downstairs seems to be a quite running unit. Glad I bought the larger size.

Works as promised

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced my old, broken down dehumidifier and decided to upgrade to a larger capacity unit. I was immediately impressed with the speed at which moisture was removed. The unit is quiet to the point that you have to go down to the basement to check that it is working! The hose attachment feature is easy to connect once you unscrew the cap and thread a hose on to it.
I look forward to years of reliable service from my Frigidaire - FAD704DWD Dehumidifier.
