Dehumidifier Installation and Operation

Does The Job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to replace my current dehumidifier and since I have a large basement I opted for a large capacity unit. I does the job and what I like was that it could operate at a cooler room temperature without freezing up.

SO FAR SO GOOD

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's been 4 months with our new dehumidifier, If it lasts more than 2 years, then I'll be happy. They just don't make things like they used to and here's to hoping this dehumidifier will last for years as the one we originally replaced was from the 80's. We replaced it to upgrade to a more energy efficient unit with and Energystar that failed after just one year. This is our second unit and we are so far satisfied.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

First Time Dehumidifier Buyer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After reading many reviews on-line about dehumidifiers, I decided to buy the Frigidaire dehumidifier for my house based on the large amount of positive reviews. I have been using this dehumidifier for just under a month now and it has been working flawlessly. For the first several days of operation I had to empty the tank 2-3 times a day. After that, I only have to empty the tank every few days except on days when the outside air relative humidity is very high. On the high humidity days, the frequency of emptying the tank increases to 1-2 times a day. The noise level of the unit is a little loud, but that is to be expected with a compressor and fan running. Placed my unit in the hallway outside of the bedroom and I can barely hear it running with the bedroom door closed. I have not had any issues so far, but I have a slight concern about the life expectancy of the unit after reading several reviews about the unit only working for one year. For now, I am very happy with the purchase and I am considering ordering another unit for my downstairs.
