[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live about 39 feet from the lake and my basement is was always damp. I've attached a hose to the drain and it works perfectly. I had 2 dehumidifiers in my basement but now I have just one Frigidaire and it's dryer than ever. I'm now running about a month without any problems.Great Job and great savings. Bob Madan

a fine replacement for my old model

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a Frigidaire dehumidifier that gave up after about 5 years and I needed a replacement unit to keep my basement dry. I didn't hesitate to get another Frigidaire because I was very satisfied with the performance of the previous model I had. I plugged the new one in and it started removing moisture from the air at a rapid clip and has performed admirably for the approximately one month that I have had it so far. I like that they have moved the drain hose hookup to the back of the unit rather than having it inside the housing; very convenient. I look forward to many good years of moisture control.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Reluctant on buying this dehumidifier due to a lot of bad reviews about it lasting one to two seasons only and frigidaire won't stand behind their products. I bought this 70 pints dehumidifier because it's the only brand that is available at the bricks and mortar rather than over the internet store but so far almost one month being use is great with dehumidifying a 300 square foot room from 60% humidity down to 40% humidity in an hour and half. Long term durability remain to be seen? This is great in its purpose of dehumidifying but not sure yet about longevity of the machine?

Rock Solid and Very Efficient

The FAD704DWD does the job splendidly and keeps the humidity at a comfortable level all the time. This is one of the best products that we have ever purchased and would recommend it without hesitation.
