I purchased this model as a replacement for an earlier Frigidaire model 50 pint unit that had prematurely failed. Given my past experience with a Frigidaire unit I was somewhat reluctant to purchase another Frigidaire. But after reviewing other brand units, and getting favorable review from friend who has owned this model without any issues, I decided to buy. So far the unit has performed well and without any problems after 4 mos of use. I recommend going with the larger 70 pint rate capacity unit over the smaller 50 pint unit.

I had purchased an earlier version of this dehumidifier and it broke down.
On a whim, I decided to contact Frigidaire, to find out if there was anything they could do for us.
They bought the old one back.
With that kind of backing, I didn't blink an eye to purchase another.

This dehumidifier is incredibly powerful, quiet and such a space saver. I'm very impressed. My parents have had this same model for 4+ years and have not had any issues with it. I'm very pleased.

Great unit. Dehumidifies an entire unfinished damp basement. Can set the humidity level and it shuts off when reached and turns on when needed.

Dehumidifier operates as advertised. Only issue has been the tank handle. At times, the handle cannot handle weight of water in tank resulting in spillage/water clean-up on collapse of the top portion of the tank as the handle connection breaks. We have taken to supporting the bottom portion of the tank as we remove it from the dehumidifier to avoid the possible impact of a handle failure.

My Frigidaire is great

My 70 pint dehumidifier does a great job keeping my basement nice and dry. I have had many other manufactures, but none work so well and still very quite.
