Great dehumidifier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I need a dehumidifier for a below grade family room of about 900 sq ft. I have used other brands in the past but the Frigidaire is by far the best. It draws the moisture out and a surprisingly quick pace, it is quiet and easy to operate. I only wish that I had a convenient drain so that I didn't need to dump the bucket.

Good unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a replacement for the same model that I used to control the humidity in my basement 24 hours a day 365 days per year. The previous unit lasted 5 years. The failure was probably due to the humidistat but there wasn't any Frigidaire repair shop anywhere near and it is really too heavy to pay for shipping, not knowing for sure whether it is repairable. Besides, there are no repair parts available through Frigidaire - which is a terrible indictment of our throwaway society; for the sake of a $10 or $25 repair part which I could have replaced, the entire unit had to be trashed even though the repaired unit could have lasted another 5 or 10 years.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Within a few days of plugging the unit in we noticed a considerable and pleasant change to the humidity level in our basement. Very easy to set up, easy directions, easy 'bucket' removal and replace. Love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this to keep our basement dry. We had purchased a cheaper one, which worked a little for a short time. This one would fill up the bucket, which holds about two gallons, in about six to eight hours when we first began using it. Now we only empty it about twice a day. We know it is doing its job.

Good, solid product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using for about 2 months in my basement. Large capacity and does a good job of removing humidity.
Not as quiet as I would like and seems to run a lot to keep humidity around 50%. That said, the house air conditioner is located in same area and basement temp is 68-70 when ac runs.
I would buy again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am going to have to set up some kind of pump system for the unit because it removes so much moisture from the basement air I did not realize how damp it was I have it on 60% and I have to empty the tank 2 time a day
