[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this model in the past and worked well for 5 yrs. One year ago I purchased a replacement and needed to replace under warranty 1 year later. I think the QC is lacking in this Frigidaire product. I'll see how this one does before recommending to a friend.

Works as advertised

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Using in a florida room in FL where the humidity is usually high. This dehumidifier in conjunction with a wall unit Frigidare A/C keeps the room comfortable an usable year round!

Replacement for recall.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit as a replacement for a Frigidaire unit of the same capacity that had been recalled due to some major manufacturing defect, which usually means that the bean counters overruled the engineers in the finalization of the design.
The previous unit performed well, but was of course performance-limited by design parameters that focus on commodity pricing for the average consumer. My main dehumidifier is a Santa Fe Classic #4029700, which uses less power (6.4amps vs 7.5amps) and pulls humidity at lower temperatures. It is not cheap, but makes it up while running all summer.
I chose the half-value cash payment option for the recall, as I have a local appliance dealer who actually tests the units he sells before they go out the door. Many dehumidifiers fail early on because they are abused in shipping and handling.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Garage us used for storage of paper and wood materials and dehumidifying will prevent mold. Only complaint is that unit will not work at temperatures below 60 F - advertised as working down to 40 F.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dehumidifier three months ago and do not regret the purchase. It ran non stop for three days before i was able to program a cycle. Lot of humidity at the beach. Now it maintains the humidity at the setting. It covers my 700’ place no problem.
