Dry basement at last

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this dehumidifier after my husband did extensive research on-line and decided that this was the best option to meet our needs. We have a well and the water that comes out of the ground is colder than the air in the basement, which caused condensation on the outside of the pressure tank. When we had to add two carbon filter tanks last September, the problem grew even worse because those two tanks were covered in condensation as well.
This device solved the problem completely. We have no more condensation on the tanks, no more water running down the tanks on the floor. Wish we had done this years ago.
My husband did set up an external pump that pumps the condensate to the laundry sink which makes the whole operation run with no attention from us. If you don't install it that way, you'll need to keep an eye on the condensate and empty it.

Problems

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Owned this model before, but this one is not operating like my old one. Not taking out the moisture constantly. Not hearing the dripping noise, and takes along time to put liquid in the compartment. Our house has major moisture issues, so I need this unit to operate correctly. Will be getting a hold of you later, thank you, Rick.

I know how frustrating it can be when an appliance is not working as we expect, unit. If you have your dehumidifier connected to a garden hose for continuous drain, please inspect the hose for blockages and clean if necessary. Ensure the air filter is clean. Most dehumidifiers will not pull any moisture from a cool area that is 41°F or colder.
