Great replacement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a musty damp basement in the summer, no standing water, just a feeling in the air when in the area. My kids play in the basement often and love to spread out in the unfinished sections with their cars and trucks. We had another brand 50-pint unit purchased many years ago and it seemed to run often and very loudly. I did my research and the Frigidaire 70-pint FAD704DWD seemed a better fit. The unit is very modern looking and I feel it should be playing music instead making my basement less musty. Hands-down, I am in awe of the lack of noise it makes as it works. I'm not saying its silent, but when it does kick on it reminds me of a gentle noise maker next to the bed and not a dehumidifier doing its job. Thanks to my electric company online account, I can check my daily usage rates and since this thing was brought in and set to run (55%), I can't honestly say I see anything significantly different on the daily usage graphs. Whatever juice it takes to run and maintain my desired humidity, appears to disappear in the normal day electricity needs. When we get to the meat of the summer, I'll see if that changes, but for now I am quite happy. I do not use the bucket due to my basement having a drain built-in to the floor and I run the hose from the back of the FAD704DWD to this drain. Is it allowed to say you love a dehumidifier? I love this one!

Works Just Fine

Great Dehumidifier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far this humidifier is doing the trick. About the only downside is it is a bit noisy and pushes out a lot of warm air. Still delighted though, the house is drier.
