Fits the needs

I have a basement that stays pretty humid most of the year and this dehumid does the job very efficiently. I haven't noticed much of an increase at all in my electricity bill and it runs 24/7.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Effective and quiet

This is my 3rd dehumidifer in 15 years, and it is the most quiet one yet. We have a full walkout basement, and I have it in the unfinished laundry room to keep the basement from getting too humid and musty. I have to actually go into the laundry room to hear if it is on. From the main room in the basement you can't tell, it's that quiet. No leakage, unlike others that I've seen. Overall a great product at a great price.

This dehumidifier leaked once.
The auto shutoff did not turn off the unit and the water overflowed.
Luckily, it was in the basement and the water did not cause damage.

I BOUGHT THIS BECAUSE OF THE CONSUMER REPORTS GIVING THIS A HIGH RATING. THE UNIT OPERATES VERY EFFICIENTLY HOWEVER THE HUMIDSTAT IS ABOUT 10 POINTS OFF FROM ROOM AMBIENT THUS THE UNIT ONLY SHUTS DOWN RARELY COSTING EXTRA ON THE ELECTRIC BILL.

this unit replaced one that was recalled..and so far I'm pleased with it.the fan is a little loud and the bucket handle could be made stronger to empty water out.
