Unit was a replacement for 50 pt humidifier that had been recalled. I opted for a 70 pt unit with the idea that it would do the job quicker and remove more moisture than the older unit. My main complaint is that the fan tends to run all the time, even when the compressor is not on. I suspect that the on/off tolerances for the fan are too close and this make the unit cycle too fast thereby not giving the fan a chance to cut off.
I would be hesitant to recommend this unit because of the constant noise.

First Dehumidifier

This is my first dehumidifier and I let it run in the basement. Have used both the bucket and hose hookup. Only con is that it does seem like the fan does run all the time though I do see water dripping from the hose all the time

The unit works well but has somewhat of a shrill whistle-sound. Fortunately it's in the basement and we don't have to listen to it.

Handle not made well
