Beyond expectations!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this unit in attempt to dehumidify a large pole barn building I use as a wood shop. Humidity sits around 75% here is SE Wisconsin, and previously it was impossible to work in there all summer. While I expected this to help, I had no idea I would be able to control the humidity in this 1400 square foot building with 15’ ceilings, down to 40%-50% with ease. Air conditioning is just not a cost effective option right now, and this unit has been a life saver! 3 months in and no issues! Solid mobile design, with drain hose option let the unit run automatically when I’m not around. Perfection!

Works Good, but have some doubt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used Frigidaire dehumidifiers since I bought my house in 2007. I have a humid basement in the summer and the first Frigidaire dehumidifier I bought was a BEAST keeping the basement humidity down and worked like a charm!!! It lasted a good 7 years till it finally died. Since then I don't know what Frigidaire has done, but it seems like the quality and reliability has gone down. I have gone through 2 Frigidaire dehumidifiers in the past four years including an upgrade to this particular model. I have three of these models (one i purchased in 2016, 2017, and 2018) in my basement now to try to ease the workload on them to make them last longer, but it seems like some gremlins are popping up (setting on one is 60% and its running when it says on the machine the humidity is only 50%, one seems to only run when you set the humidity lower than the other two no matter where you put it and you can only let it run so long or it doesn't sound like its running right, it works but doesn't sound like it should) which I hope is not a sign of things to come. I mean they are working great, but the million dollar question is how long will they last. These things aren't cheap and as stated earlier the quality and reliability doesn't seem to be what it was when I got my first Frigidaire dehumidifier back in 2007. Unfortunately when you are shopping around looking for dehumidifiers Frigidaire makes a superior product to the other brands, but its as the saying goes "they don't make stuff like they used to" and in the case for this model its true.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Removes moisture quickly and I love being able to place the unit on a timer cycle. I do not know if it is possible to have a feature that allows you to turn the unit on and set at a designated humidity and have the unit turn off when it reaches that setting and turn back on when the humidity reaches 5 above the set level. if you can program a unit to do this, it would be excellent.
