Like the bigger water tank

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My basement flooded this past July while we were out of town. Sump pump pipe came appart. I purchase two units both Frigidaire. I like this one best as it has a bigger water tank to hold more. Dried out basement and drywall down there nicely.

Beware of cleaning

"Clean bucket with warm water and detergent." Yeah? How? My husband had to take out 6 screws (in layers) to remove the drawer pull, handle, and top plastic pieces so I could get in there and scrub out the mold that had grown because it's so difficult to clean the bucket. Never had an issue with other dehumidifiers so never thought to check this before purchasing. Definitely learned my lesson! It does do well removing moisture, but it heats up our apartment so much when running that I don't use it as much as I normally would. Would probably be great in a cool basement where you're not living with the heat and noise.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
