Excellent dehumidifier!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had it operating in my basement for over a month in very hot humid weather in Connecticut. It fills the tank daily and has dropped humidity from 70+ to under 50%.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While the unit removes moisture from the air, it runs all the time and pumps heat into the space, making it uncomfortably warm.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Typically, the dehumidifier will run until it reaches the set humidity. Once it reaches the set humidity it will shut off. The way moisture is typically removed this is to reheat the air to further dry it after it releases its moisture. The dried air is heated by the combination of latent heat of condensation, which is a natural result of the process, and by circulating through the condenser where heat is exchanged from it to the air. Which can cause additional heat generated by the dehumidifier’s air compressor and the air going back into the room might be warmer than it was going in.

Gets thewater out
