Simple and it works

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to startup and run. I quickly corrected a moisture issue with a space and was able to vent the condensation simple outside by connecting a piece of garden hose. I would have given it 5 stars if I could have access to the filter via the top of the unit like another Frigidaire.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works well with hose discharge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far so good, pulls a lot of moisture from the air quickly, went through the process of manually emptying the tank one time, cumbersome and poorly designed, the tank, dehumidifier and all associated parts are plastic and do not fit smoothly together, can not imagine anyone would be happy with constantly emptying the tank or that the machine would hold up to this process hundreds if not thousands of times it should, be advised if you do switch from tank to hose discharge, condensate collects in the hose connection and will get things wet when you remove the hose connection cover cap,
The filter is very hard to get at and requires removing the tank and feeling around blindly for removal and installation.
So I would recommend the Frigidaire 70 p dehumidifier but only if you have the ability to make use of the direct hose discharge

So Far...So Good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dehumidifier definately does what the ratings said so far. It throws off a little more heat than the smaller unit we had though. That's OK. It's in the basement.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had problems with an odor in my basement for a while. Purchased an air purifier; but that did not take care of the issue. Did some research about basement orders which lead me the to the idea of getting a dehumidifier for my basement. After a few days of reading reviews and specs; I decided to purchase the FAD704DWDE. After setting it up and letting it run as instructed; I had to connect the drain hose because of the moisture it pulled from my basement. My basement is rather large; so, I bought a second dehumidifier. After the initial brake in period on it; I set them up on Smart plugs and using the remote features; I can now keep my entire basement at a set humify level of 55 with ease. The smell is gone and there seems to be LIFE in the room. They work Great and I would highly really recommend these to everyone…

I originally purchased this dehumidifier through a big box store web site 2 years ago. That one lasted 18 months and got replaced under an extended warranty I purchased. I will consider it a victory if this one lasts more than 2 years. Growing up we had many quality Frigidaire products that ran incident free for years, but this dehumidifier has been a disappointment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
