Better than advertised!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our old, loud dehumidifier died and I waited a long time before replacing. I read the many reviews and researched many different types. I must say that I am VERY pleased with this model. Very quiet, easy to empty, easy to adjust humidity. I would Strongly recommend this model, you will not be disappointed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first Dehumidifier so I have nothing to compare it to. But, I can say it is nice, compact, you can connect a regular garden hose to allow it to drain and it does what it is supposed to.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Efficiency and Capacity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Frigidaire 70 Pint Capacity Dehumidifier is a replacement for a previous appliance that gave up the ghost. Even though it's an older model than the one I replaced, I like it better because of it's larger capacity bucket. Also an improvement is that the exhaust blows up instead of out the side which eliminates the limitations on locations in which I can use it. It's not the quietest, but the efficiency is hard to beat.

Works great!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had bought one of these a year ago and liked it so much that i bought one for my second home and my mothers house, they have been working very well, the only thing id say is that they run very hot and you will feel it in the room if the machine is running a long time

The way moisture is typically removed this is to reheat the air to further dry it after it releases its moisture. The dried air is heated by the combination of latent heat of condensation, which is a natural result of the process, and by circulating through the condenser where heat is exchanged from it to the air. Which can cause additional heat generated by the dehumidifier’s air compressor and the air going back into the room might be warmer than it was going in.

Reservoir removal is clunky not smooth

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Removes lots of moisture. I have to empty several times a day. Only complaint is that to remove and replace the reservoir to empty is not a very smooth process. It often sticks and does not want to go in all the way. I have another Frig dehumidifier which has much smoother fittings for the reservoir.

To properly remove the water tank, press the sides of bucket gently to unclip the bucket from the unit. Grasp the bucket on the sides to release it from the unit; to completely remove it grasp the handle on the front careful not to tilt it and spill water. My decision was based on numerous reviews and considered models from other manufacturers. I am very happy with my decision. This appliance is not only incredibly easy to use, but it is also very efficient and highly effective. Moreover, it is very reasonably priced and pleasing on the eyes. I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a quality dehumidifier.
