Excellent Dehumidifier

The new one is terrific and keeps our basement nice and dry. The older one takes much longer to fill up so we purchased a new one that is super fast and efficient.

comparing the 2 sizes

I had been using the 50 pint for several years and loved it but gave it to my daughter for her new apartment and I bought the FAD704DWD 70 pint model for my house in July 2019. This bigger model is identical to the 50 pint but does make a tad more noise as I guess cuz it's bigger?? However, when I go to empty the bucket on this 70 pint model, it
continues to drip and leaves a small puddle about the diameter of a tennis ball on the base of the unit until I replace the bucket. The unit itself does shut off, I'm just concerned if I don't get it emptied for several days will it overflow...I never had this problem with my 50
pint unit.

Replacement Dehumidifier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a Frigidaire 70 pint Dehumidifier more than a year ago. I started getting codes and it quit working. I contacted Frigidaire and they said it is cheaper to replace it for me than to repair it. This was all replaced at no cost to me. I have great praises to Frigidaire.

I attached a garden hose to the fitting and drain it directly into the sump pump hole, so no having to check the tank. We had a previous Frigidaire unit that we actually wore out, was 15 years old. Unit seems to be well built and rolls easily on the casters. Would definitely recommend this model if you are needing a dehumidifier.
