My basement is dry

We got our dehumidifier for a new home. When we moved in, our basement has a musty smell to it. The dehumidifier has solved this problem.

Does the job

This dehumidifier does the job. The only complaint I have is runs constantly. Wish it would shut down when it reaches the humidity setting.

Good but not amazing

I wouldn't say it's amazing but it is a very good dehumidifier. The only issue I have is the humidity setting needs to be set at 60 to keep the actual humidity between 45 and 50.

Maybe because the last one was old but this unit appears to be much more efficient. The basement was getting a bit damp and musty after the last dehumidifier (different brand) had died. We bought this one a couple weeks ago and it has been running constantly trying to get the humidity level down. I don't recall the size of the bucket in the last one. But this one seems to fill rather quickly. If we are home, we would have to dump it at least twice a day. Has a slight hum when it runs. But other than that it's been sucking moisture out of the air like a champ. Would have gone with 5 stars except the buck seems a bit small, fills up too quickly. But that may be the unit works well.

Unfortunately, my unit never cuts off, even when the specified humidity level has been attained. Design of top located output for the dehumidified air might have have been better if located on the opposite end of the unit from the input. By coming out the top, it is difficult to direct the dehumidified air towards the largest part of the room being dehumidified. This unit may have a defective fan control, or humidity sensor, since the fan NEVER cuts off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
