Dry Basement!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about a month ago after the last one of another brand quit drying the air. Finally I now have a dry basement again, holds true at 50%. I hope this lasts longer than the last two, I did buy the extended warranty in case it doesn't.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am extremely pleased with the operation of this unit. I used to run a fan with a furnace filter on it to help with the musty smell in our basement. Having this unit in the basement took care of the musty smell. Almost as good as having an ionizer to clean the air. Would definitely suggest this unit for purchase.

Does the job!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried another brand (more expensive) and it was loud and put out hot air when running which heated up my basement too much. I was pleasantly surprised that this unit runs quietly and only outputs warm air which doesn't change the room temperature very much.

Works great but only lasts 2 years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It really works great but only lasts about two years. I'm happy with all the features. It only runs 9 months out of the year and I keep it at 65 at all times.

Got five years at 3.5 months a year

Gave it one star because I don't read the two star reviews. I liked the unit itself. Easy to clean no operational issues. However, for a durable good like this I expect 10 years. Only using this 3.5 months a year the five I did get were light duty. I got the EC code this spring which is not repairable. Not happy with the durability therefore one star. Do not buy.

Hi, Cshoes! We apologize for any matters you have experienced with your dehumidifier. Typically, an EC message is dealing with the operating conditions. The outlet voltage should be 115V±10% and the surrounding temperature should be within the range of 41 °F to 96 °F. You would want to unplug the unit and plug it in again under normal operating conditions.
