Works as expected

I was getting condensation on piping in the basement of a new home we purchased. When I checked the humidity levels we were over 70 percent. Leaving it run full time, I was able to get the humidity down to just under 50 percent. Now I have set up to keep things at 55 percent and it is running an acceptable amount of time and is keeping the whole basement at that level even when placed in the utility room. I also like the fact I can hook a hose up and drain out automatically, never having to deal with emptying the bucket. Happy with the purchase.

Good looking unit, reliability questions

This ismy third unit .
the other two were exchanged by the manufacturer.
the first only worked 9 months. The second ran without the fan coming on.
The 3rd is working ok but I have witnessed the fan not coming on when the compressor is running.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had many dehumidifiers over the years and this is the best yet. It is quiet and does a gray job of keeping my basement around 50% RH.

This Frigidaire Dehumidifier is sturdy, quiet, and keeps our basement dry. While not a "glamor purchase," it does what is is supposed to do, and as such it is a great value to this homeowner.
