Been extremely happy with how it works, just wish it had a pump to drain so I did now have to empty it all the time

Good Humidifier

Good one but if you want it running continuous better get a hose and setit up for drain. In my house we had radan system setup so had to use eletrical room for getting the water out.

Works great in the basement. If heat is an issue, this is not your unit. It from time to time puts out a decent amount of heat, but since the basement is cool, it's not that big of a deal. Other than that, I love it.

Unacceptably noisy Frigidaire dehumidifier

I purchased Frigidaire's 70 pint dehumidifier for use in an exercise room. It dehumidifies well, but has an extremely loud compressor squeal. I returned the first, thinking it was defective, but the replacement is just as noisy. It simply can't be used in an occupied room. If you want to dehumidify a crawl space, fine. Don't even try to use it in a room where people will be. Definitely a mistake on my part. I'm disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had over 60% humidity in my house before I put this fellow at the top of the stairs. The humidity has gone down 20% in the whole house. Best investment I have made in a long time.

Only had about 2 months, but works great. Is quiet , energy efficient, and keeps my basement dry. No longer have moisture that was causing mold on ceiling.
