Runs continuously and never reaches set point of 55 percent.

This is my third dehumidifier and is by far the best ever. It is quiet but acts like a super sponge while it dries the air.

I've gone through a dehumidifier about once every-other year. Granted they were typically from a hardware chain-store but were a well-known brand and reasonably priced. After the last one died, again, I did some consumer reports searching and happened upon this Frigidaire. It too was reasonably priced but what a difference from the others! This unit is VERY quiet compared to the others I've had, and also very efficient. The construction is much better, especially regarding handles and hose attachment. The engineering also seems much better, with proper airflow to keep compressor cooled - I am very satisfied. The only thing outstanding is my HOPE that this unit lasts much longer than the competitors I've tried. I use this unit to dehumidify a ~2500 sqftbasement, around 1900 is finished but I dehumidify the whole thing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Replaced two recalled units that are used in an apartment complex basement and laundry room area. Easy to connect to a hose for direct draining.

Frigidaire 70 Pint Capacity Dehumidifier

I am happy with the Frigidaire 70 Pint Capacity Dehumidifier. It is much quieter than the last one we had that we had. It also doesn't raise the temperature in the family room an additional 10 degrees. (The last one was a different brand.)
I hooked a hose up to it with a swivel adapter and ran it right into the downstairs shower stall.
We live in a raised ranch and this unit is in a basement / finished family room and has to keep the moisture level of approximately 200 square feet at 50% humidity and it does it very well.
I would recommend this to a friend!
