Works Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this dehumidifier for about 1 month. I am very impressed with it's operation. The dehumidifier is located in the basement. (Note: I did not think my basement was too damp, but read on.) When I first installed it, I had to empty the bucket once a day. Now that the basement has been dried out, it's maybe every 5 days or so. The unit is not very noisey, it sounds like a box fan running. The controls are very simple and it is easy to operate. The only negative is that the bucket is a little hard to pull out and put back in, wish it had a handle on the outside to make it easier to pull the bucket out. Other than that I would strongly reccomend this unit, it works great!

Better than expected!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this to replace a 50 pint Frigidaire unit that finally broke down. The 70 pint fits my needs in a large basement. Line the wheels on the bottom and handle on the top. Works very well!

Very Satisfied, Enthusiastically Recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a bit of research, we recently settled on the 70 pint Frigidaire unit. This is our first dehumidifier purchase for our home of 19 years. We live in a humid region of North Carolina. Our house is about 25 years old and it seems to be growing increasingly humid inside of the house once the summer is over and the air conditioner is switched off and the heat turned on. Our house is a 2,000 square foot ranch with a crawlspace. No basement, but it does have an attached garage. This year the inside humidity was hovering around 70-72% and we were noticing a "musty" smell in the house.
This unit dropped the humidity from 72% to under 50% within the first 24 hours it was plugged in! This equated to about 15 GALLONS of water being pulled out of the air. Over the next couple of days it continued to run quite a bit as residual moisture from the carpet, furniture, curtains, mattresses, etc was released. In a nutshell, we could not be more pleased with the results!
Odor: eliminated within 24 hours
Humidity: after the first 3 days, the unit only cycles a few times a day to maintain
Setting: we have our unit set at 50% which automatically turns on/off
Sound: all units produce noise, but this unit is very quiet and manageable

Needless to say, although we have only had this dehumidifier for over a month we are very pleased with the results and would highly recommend!
